With his second release on Steamtown, Hoplite enters broken-beat territory offering two quirky electro inspired tunes with booming bass and groovy percussion. ‘Moving You’ conjures elements of Miami bass while pushing a mix of syncopated melodies and twisted future funk. The kick will rattle your rib cage and Hoplite keeps it fresh with unexpected twists and turns. ‘Otik’ manages to walk on the dark side while keeping a smile on your face. Like getting bitten by a snake whose venom causes pleasure this track will seep into your system and cause you to get down.
